Our client is a large construction, property services & FM solutions provider, with an exceptional history of delivering unparalleled services across various sectors. An opportunity for a Sales Director experienced in growing Hard FM services is now available.  The FM business delivers planned and responsive housing repairs alongside zero-carbon and life safety retrofitting services for public sector landlords and housing associations, as well as the fit-out, refurbishment and facilities management of commercial properties.

The Role:

The Sales Director you will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward. The successful candidate will possess a proven and successful track record in a work winning/business development position for a company providing business service solutions. This will include the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at C-suite level, to formulate and implement strong strategic planning, to drive service and solution innovation, to drive positive change and to act as a true champion of a business.

The appointee’s base location will be flexible. This is a national business with offices in Warrington, Luton and Central London. There will be a requirement for frequent national travel to clients’ offices and indeed Internal meetings.  The team will be based in London so being able to commute on occasion would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute innovative strategies to grow business, with a focus on winning bids and solutioning large or complex customer-facing programmes.

Originate complex commercial solutions, demonstrating creativity, commercial acumen, and a patient yet tenacious approach.

Communicate complex commercial solutions confidently and sensitively to a diverse range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Exhibit outstanding organisational, collaboration, inspiration, analytical, influencing, and motivational skills.

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our rapidly evolving business.

Lead and develop the skills of colleagues within the work winning function, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:

A proven and successful track record in a similar role within an outsourced Hard FM business with revenues greater than £30m annually.

Demonstrable experience in growing business, winning work/bids, and/or successfully solutioning large or complex programmes with a contract value of £1-5 million.

Commercially focused, creative, confident, self-driven, and inventive.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and articulate complex ideas effectively.

High levels of personal initiative, motivation, credibility, and integrity.

Flexible, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of a dynamic company.

Knowledge of complex ‘hard services’ type contracts with both public and private sector clients, particularly in transformative service delivery.
