Our client supplies specialist equipment designed and manufactured for the Advanced Materials industry and sold worldwide.

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play an integral part in identifying new business whilst maximising the relationship with our existing customers. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to develop and execute a sales strategy for the business.

Job Specification & Qualifications:

• Ideally educated to degree/HND level in engineering / science subject or qualified by experience.

• Experience in selling large scale capital equipment.

• Conduct technical and commercial discussions with customers at all levels.

• Develop and maintain a pipeline with sufficient growth opportunities to meet income and gross margin targets.

• Develop and maintain a high level of technical competence in the features and functions of the company’s products.

• Preparation of technical proposals to a high level of technical and financial accuracy.

• Production of weekly sales platform & performance reports.

• Provide feedback on customers, competitors, opportunities, markets, pipeline, and other sales related activities at weekly sales reviews.

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills to facilitate close working relationships with customers, prospects, and personnel.

• A self-motivated personality, with the drive to achieve excellence in all activities undertaken.

• The role may also include other tasks and duties that may be required as directed by the board.

• Attendance required at exhibitions & conferences.

The role is based at Hailsham site but may involve occasional UK and overseas visits in support of our worldwide customer base.

Essentials: Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel globally as required
