Join our client, an award-winning SaaS company based in South Yorkshire, providing bespoke cloud-based solutions to blue-chip clients for over 15 years. We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our clients growth through the next stage of development. The Operations Director will work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, accountable for the optimum efficiency of the operations, developing the strategy through change, to achieve excellent service delivery.


You may be currently working at Director level, or Manager with the skills, ambition and experience to lead at Director level.  It is essential for you to have gained experience working with distributors with a strong upselling record.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct operational responsibility for 15 employees, including full line management and performance appraisals.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the security team, fostering a positive work culture and motivating team members to achieve their goals.
  • Manage and supervise a team of technicians, installers, and support staff, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilisation.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyse key metrics for the day-to-day performance of all operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Develop and execute business P&L budgets and strategies towards cash flow, in collaboration with the senior management team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to security systems.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of a range of security projects, adhering to defined timelines and budgets.
  • Act as a point of escalation for client issues, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.


Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an operational director/management role within a relevant industry (security, data, electrical, manufacturing, engineering or similar).
  • Commercially aware with a strategic mindset.
  • Performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of multiple operational functions including project engineering, customer service, and employee management.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines including SSAIB, Cyber Essentials, and ISO9001.
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles to support rapidly changing business demands.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
