Morson Talent are delighted to be working with a renowned Construction company who are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager into their Sales team to focus on the South East area. Working with the Business development teams and relevant bid teams, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for work on the development of quality bid submissions, including stakeholder analysis and obtaining relevant information to assess client focus and pertinent issues to be addressed in submissions. Presenting to potential clients and consultants through direct communication in face to face meeting, telephone calls and emails. The Business Development Manager will also manage a pipeline of opportunities ensuring that all deadlines are met and that information presented meets the company standards. To implement the divisional strategy and all of the group's policies including those for SHE and risk management. 

This role will be responsible for growing the public sector portfolio in South East including pipeline of projects across healthcare, education, residential, custodial, leisure and civic

Role Requirements

  • Recognised sales and marketing qualification and / or proven track record in similar discipline
  • Candidate must have an understanding of public sector frameworks and have an existing network of relationships with public sector consultants, local authorities, NHS Trusts, colleges and universities.

  • Proven track record in delivering sales across a diverse client base within the Construction
  • Proven experience in business development activities and able to develop a track record in building a Sales funnel
  • Exceptional relationship management and networking abilities coupled with a genuine passion for the sector
  • Natural gravitas to engage with and influence senior executives both internally and externally
  • Personal and professional demeanour and credibility, which commands confidence of external partners, key stakeholders, members, clients, senior managers and employees
  • Strong communication skills in all forms
