HOMEBASED - ANY UK LOCATION

Our client is a manufacturer of printed folded cartons for the Pharmaceutical, Medical, Healthcare and Veterinary markets.

Our client has some impressive and ambitious growth plans and coupled with planned investments they are seeking to recruit a results driven Business Development Manager to actively seek out, engage and convert prospect customers within their target markets.

The successful candidate will be given some existing accounts to manage and as well as winning your own new business you will have the opportunity to upsell to existing accounts to maximise their full potential.

Please note applicants do not need to be from a cartons background, other backgrounds are also desirable ideally with contacts within the Pharmaceutical / Medical / Healthcare market sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and Managing Leads, turning them into sales pipeline opportunities
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking & social media
  • Hold meetings with potential clients and listen to their requirements
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on the company services and products
  • Preparing quotations for prospects and clients with active follow up and conversion
  • Negotiate contracts and agree commercial parameters with customers
  • Successfully onboard new clients with minimal disruption to them
  • Brief new development work to the internal team
  • Ensure all origination costs are negotiated with the customer prior to launch and a full brief is issued
  • Accompany potential and existing clients to site for audits and any other visits
  • Control and manage and grow existing customer accounts
  • Hold regular calls and meetings with existing clients
  • Negotiation of any pricing increases with clients where necessary
  • Compile, up-date and develop the company sales database
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Achieve sales targets on a monthly and annual basis
  • Annual Budget forecasting
  • Attend the office and client's premises for meetings, this may include overnight stays
  • Attend exhibitions, when necessary, in UK and other countries, this inc. overnight stays
  • Attend and contribute to marketing strategy meetings

Requirements:

  • Understand and follow the CAPA / Improvement Process, when appropriate
  • Understand and follow the Quality Process Flow Charts, including CCP's
  • Customer relationship management

  • Self-motivated, ambitious and proactive approach
