£30,000 - £40,000/annum OTE and Uncapped Commission

Our client is an exciting start-up energy company with exciting plans for growth who are focused on sustainability and helping other businesses achieve net-zero. They are looking to recruit several ambitious, self-motivated and driven business development managers to join their outbound sales team. With a focus on building new relationships you will be a strong communicator who is resilient, confident and not afraid of hard work. You will be out meeting clients face to face and closing sales. Previous energy industry experience is essential. The package is negotiable to some extent for the right person.   

The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:  

  • Meeting with clients in person to build strong relationships and close sales  

  • Attending prebooked appointments and generating your own meetings  

  • Utilising a variety of tech to support your outreach such as sales force, LinkedIn, sales navigator and more! 

  • Conduct thorough research on target industries and companies to identify key decision-makers and understand their business needs 

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities 

  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers. 

  • Drive revenue growth through effective negotiation, contract management, and successful execution of sales initiatives. 

What we are looking for from you: 

  • A positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 

  • In-depth knowledge of the b2b energy market is essential  

  • Drive and ambition, no two days are the same in a start-up company so you must be adaptable and not afraid of change 

  • Full driving licence  

  • Target driven and resilient 

  • Relationship focused and persistent 

  • Confident with excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with people at all levels 

  • Proactive self-starter who can work effectively under pressure
